Richard Giglio is an accomplished trial attorney who has spent his career fighting for those in need.  Mr. Giglio spent his first several years of practice serving the citizens of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County Florida.  He prosecuted criminals for a variety of criminal offenses, ranging from DUI to murder.  Mr. Giglio had the opportunity to work closely with the victims of crimes to ensure that their needs and concerns were properly addressed before the court.  During his years as an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Giglio had the opportunity to take several cases to trial before a jury, garnering more trial experience before the age of thirty than most attorneys do in a lifetime.

After serving several years in the Felony Division of the State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Giglio sought to put his skills to work in the civil arena and joined Maney & Gordon, P.A., where he focuses his practice in the areas of consumer protection, medical malpractice and personal injury.  He has extensive experience handling cases through every aspect of litigation, including jury trial.  He has argued on behalf of his clients before Florida’s Second District Court of Appeals.   While in college and law school, Mr. Giglio spent several years working for one of the 5 largest banks in the United States.  He enjoys putting his knowledge of banking and finance practice to work for consumers who have been wronged by illegal predatory lending and collections practices.

In order to best assist the injured, Mr. Giglio spent a brief portion of his career working on behalf of large insurance companies, learning the methods they utilize to deny the injured and wronged the benefits to which they are lawfully entitled.  He regularly lectures to other attorneys  on civil trial law.  Several of Mr. Giglio’s cases have been the subject of media attention and one of Mr. Giglio’s trial victories was the subject of week-long gavel-to-gavel coverage on CourtTV/InSession.  Mr. Giglio is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell.
