Michelle attended the University of Arizona, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Business Administration, and received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude. Michelle received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Stetson University College of Law, and her Masters of Business Administration from Stetson University. While at Stetson, she was a member of the Maritime Law Society.

EXPERIENCE & SCOPE OF PRACTICE
Michelle began her legal career as a trial attorney with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Protective Services Section where she litigated dependency and termination of parental rights cases. Prior to that, she clerked with civil litigation law firms in the areas of insurance coverage litigation, business litigation and personal injury litigation. She has also served as a volunteer lawyer with the Community Law Program in Saint Petersburg, Florida and with the Volunteer Lawyer Program in Tucson, Arizona.
Michelle also brings extensive insight to Maney | Gordon’s plaintiff’s practice having, in the past, served as a defense attorney representing corporations and insurance companies in various tort and contract disputes.
Michelle’s clients throughout the country include debtors and non-debtors who are the victims of abusive debt collection practices, including those who have suffered telephone harassment, wrongful credit reporting, wrongful repossessions, wrongful foreclosures, and collection efforts after bankruptcy discharge.
Michelle is bilingual in English and Portuguese.
